It’s the ultimate antithesis to the Weslake. Big, powerful, fire-spitting V8s motivating boxy bulky Muscle car bodies such as Ford Mustangs, Plymouth Barracudas, and the Galaxie and Falcon tanks. Awe inspiring though the big beasts were, it was the slighter-of-proportion Mustangs that dominated the race, with the most spectacular battle taking place throughout the second half between Craig Davies in the number 9 car, and Steve Soper in the number 6. They’re absolutely on it, keeping the big red beasts right up on their rubbery toes. Catch the full race in the video above!
