The main scrap was between Steve Soper and Craig Davies, both men driving Mustangs in red and gold Alan Mann colours and both wanting victory. The cars finished the race looking slightly second-hand. A red flag incident halted the race early, with Davies taking the win and Soper trailing by just 0.494 of a second for second place. Rob Hall's Falcon Sprint completed the podium.
