Video: Proving the 956 has the best turbo woosh

Rainer Becker is a rather brilliant man. He owns, among other things, a Porsche 550 Spyder, a Kenwood-liveried Porsche 956 and a Porsche 910. The 910 he has brought to Goodwood many times and is often the car he uses as his daily driver.

At the 79^th Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport, our Porsche Group C demo contained Rainer’s marvellous 956 and he but a GoPro in it, just next to his head, to give us the impression of what it’s like to floor a Group C car down the Lavant Straight.

And let us tell you, just before you watch, that it looks like a great experience. The sound from the inside is brilliant, dominated by that massive turbo woosh with every gear change on the tiny H-pattern stick.
