The invention of drones has caused much concern in the world of aviation over the last few years, but for those of us in the practice of making videos the incredible shots they can create could make them one of the most exciting creations of the 21st century.
One of the most incredibly exciting days of the year is that one day before Members' Meeting begins, as the cars take their stations in the paddocks, the excitement builds for the first racing of the new year. So if you combine these two incredibly exciting things then you're bound to create magic!
Our good friend Nigel Harniman is well known to readers of GRR as a crack photographer, who made the stunning 3.0-litre F1 image, this brilliant Daytona Coupe picture, and countless more alongside. What you may not know is that he is also a crack drone pilot and videographer. So when he arrived at the circuit the day before the 74th Members' Meeting armed with his quadcopter we were incredibly excited to see what he would produce.
We teased you before the event last year with a short clip we put together using the footage, but now we're sharing the full video Nigel produced, just to get you that little bit more fired up the 75th Members' Meeting – which is not less than a month away!
