Illness has forced Haas driver Kevin Magnussen to withdraw from Friday’s running at the Brazilian Grand Prix meaning reserve driver Oliver Bearman will take the seat for the second time five races.

The Briton will take part in Friday’s running as well as the Sprint race on Saturday. At this stage it’s unclear whether Magnussen will be well enough to enter qualifying later on the Saturday for the grand prix itself.

Bearman will have a permanent seat racing for Haas in the 2025 season. He last stepped in for Magnussen at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix when after Dane accrued too many penalty points on his licence. On that outing, Bearman scored a championship point with his tenth-place finish and currently has seven points to his name in the 2024 season.
