The Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort will continue to go ahead, through to the end of 2025, as a new contract is signed to cement the venue’s place on the calender short term. This adds a further two races to the initial three-year contract, which began with the race’s return in 2021 and was set to elapse with next year’s Dutch Grand Prix.

The extension rides the bow wave of Dutch love in F1 at the moment. As two-time world drivers’ champion and home hero Max Verstappen looks to be unstoppable in his pursuit of titles, he’ll be joined on the grid next year by fellow Dutchman Nyck De Vries. The rookie takes over the seat at AlphaTauri vacated for next year by Pierre Gasly.

F1 has also highlighted the venue’s efforts in sustainability as a point of great appeal. Overall CO2 emissions at last year’s race were reduced by 80 per cent thanks to the smart power grid using alternative fuels.

“The Dutch Grand Prix has quickly established itself on the calendar as a fan favourite, bringing incredible energy and a great fan experience every year," said Stefano Domenicali, President & CEO of Formula 1.

"The sold-out events in the last two years have raised the bar in terms of organisation, entertainment, and sustainability, and we are delighted to extend our relationship with them. There is huge demand to host F1 races so it is testament to what the team have done to cement Zandvoort on the calendar until 2025, and we can’t wait to return next summer.”
