The Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard is always a Mecca for Formula 1 fans, with legendary machinery from all eras of the sport putting on a show on the Hill. Whether you’re here for the dominant DFV era, the turbo monsters, howling V10s, screaming V8s or the very newest hybrid machinery, there’s something for everyone.
Just count them down: Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes, Lotus, Brabham, Red Bull and so many more. It’s so spectacularly rare to see late 1990s and early 2000s F1 machinery driven properly even on track, let alone up our Hillclimb Sussex. Then there are the Red Bull and Mercedes showboaters that never fail to pitch their machines into a few smokey doughnuts in front of the house. W Series, now a support series to F1, joined in on the action for the first time at the Festival, too.
There’s nothing quite like a Festival of Speed F1 batch for life-long F1 fans.
