One of the distinctive features of the 79th Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport is that, unlike the period-perfect Goodwood Revival, there’s no time cut-off. That gives us the freedom to invite much more modern machinery to the Motor Circuit, and the V10-era Formula 1 cars are a thrilling manifestation of the variety.
The cars assembled here range from 1989 to 2005, many of them V10 powered, but we also have some of their V8 rivals from the same period. Take a look through the paddock gallery here and you’ll no doubt pick some favourites a provoke some memories.
Stand-out cars include the McLaren MP4/15 that was narrowly pipped to the World Championship in 2000 by Michael Schumacher and his Ferrari F1-2000. The Rothmans-liveried Williams FW18, as driven to World Champion victory by Damon Hill in 1996, is here, too. And there’s a Goodwood highlight in the Arrows A11 that holds the the outright lap record at the Goodwood Motor Circuit. It will back in the hands of the man who set the time, Nick Padmore. Take a pictorial walk around the paddock with us in this comprehensive gallery.
If you want to watch the 79th Members’ Meeting, you can watch Saturday in full here on GRR and across our social channels. To watch on Sunday you’ll need to be a Member or Fellow of the GRRC.
