Gallery: The screaming Glover Trophy

17th October 2020

During the 1960s, Goodwood hosted a number of non-championship Formula 1 races – and the 1.5-litre Grand Prix cars of the era take to the circuit for the Glover Trophy.

The tiny 1.5-litre engined racers all date from 1961 to 1965, and close racing is guaranteed. Lotus Type 21 and Type 24s are the most numerous on the grid, but they face competition from contemporary greats such as Cooper and Brabham. Here are some pictorial highlights from sunny autumn-day race.
