The Richmond & Gordon Trophies showcase the birth of F1 with '50s cars that were the first to fall under the class of 'Formula One'. These were also the first F1 cars that came to Goodwood in period and some of the only F1 cars to be front-engined.
Iconic entries from this 2.5-litre era include the Maserati 250F, the Lotus 16 and 18 and the Ferrari 340. Of course, also featured, the car that changed the game – the Cooper T43. This was a near-essential borrowed race from the Revival, at SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard.
