A bunch of Ferraris on track is always a good time. When it’s an event organised by Ferrari at Mugello in Italy, with said bunch being comprised of F1 cars, sports racers and an all-new never-before-seen limited-run supercar, it’s a bit better than a good time…
We open with screaming F1 V8s joining a relatively mute modern-era V6 on track for some spirited laps, as Mugello is draped in a thin mist. Then still under an overcast sky a selection of GT cars take to the track with 488 GTEs, challenge cars, GT3s and even at one point, a 458 GT2. The star of the show is of course, the Daytona SP3, receiving its dynamic debut at the Finali Mondiali Ferrari 2021, escorted by two 330 P4s and a 412P, one of which got a little bit smokey. The XX cars are always a spectacle to melt your eardrums, too, with FXXKs, FXXs and 599XXs exercising their screaming V12s. A dull autumn/winter day brightened by some of the finest cars in Ferrari’s history. Fine mid-morning coffee break material.
