In 2015 we were lucky enough to see a modern F1 car on track for the very first time at Members' Meeting. It was a frankly ridiculous sight, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz F1 W04's naturally-aspirated V8 screaming to high heaven. Well this weekend we've been treated to an on-track F1 moment that trumps that somewhat. Hybrid-F1 power on the Motor Circuit? You bet...
At SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard we're celebrating 70 years of Formula 1, and we're doing it by bringing together a rather tasty group of F1 cars for a handful of demonstration laps each day. From the 2017 Mercedes-Benz EQ Hybrid W08 (as well as the 2009 Ferrari F60 and the 2009 Brawn BGP 001) to the 1956 Cooper-Climax T51, with cars like the Lotus 72D and McLaren MP4-6 in-between. Turn the volume up and have a listen. This is really quite special.
