Ayrton Senna is recognised as one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time. We won’t get into a debate as to whether he is the greatest because we’d be here forever, but he is no doubt one.
But, in order to be one of racing’s greats, you need to have had some great cars. It’s a simple fact that no great driver can truly succeed without the cars at their disposal to do it.
At the 78th Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport we celebrated 30 years since Ayrton won his final F1 title, with both action on track from his final F1 championship winner and a collection of his most important F1 cars. Racing driver and F1 analyst Alex Brundle was on hand for us to talk through what made these cars so important to Senna’s career.
