Imola – three miles and 19 turns of Italy’s finest asphalt. And host to this weekend’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix – the first Formula 1 race to be held at the circuit for more than a decade.
As with the recent Portuguese Grand Prix, we’re pretty certain that the drivers will have done their fair share of homework already, but now it’s our turn. So, climb aboard the Ferrari F2008 with racer Alexander West, and take a few flying laps of the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, to give it its full name.
Hold on to your helmet as the accomplished driver throws the screaming 2.4-litre V8-powered beast around the sun-soaked circuit, pushing it all the way to its 19,000rpm limit and reaching speeds approaching 200mph. If one F1 car on Imola can be this exciting, just wait for the 20-strong grid to descent on the circuit this weekend. We can hardly wait!
