Whether technology is wonderful or not very much depends on your point of view. And right now, our current point of view is that of the huge rear wing of a Ferrari 312 B3 being driven round Monaco by Jean Alesi. Where does the technology part come into play? The fact that as this has been shot on a Go-Pro 360 it looks as though the viewer is hovering just a foot or two behind the car as it is hurled about the twisty streets of Monaco, round the Rascasse, through the tunnel and past the harbour.
Every movement of the car is amplified as it deals with Monaco’s notoriously rough surface and the result is a mesmerising insight into the physics of these cars. The sound from the two shotgun-like exhausts is incredible too. Volume up!
