Video: Lewis Hamilton gets his first taste of the Mercedes W14

Pre-season testing is underway, and F1 fever has hit the Goodwood Motor Circuit like a brick. If you, like us, are busy watching the live coverage of the Bahrain test, then you’re probably clamouring for whatever F1 content you can get your hands on.

Much like this on-board footage of Lewis Hamilton’s first run in the new 2023 Mercedes W14 F1 car. We saw it launch a week ago, but nothing will ever beat seeing these cars in action on track, especially not from such a brilliant array of camera angles – no doubt carefully positioned so as not to give away any of Merc’s technical secrets.

The running takes place at a soggy Silverstone, at some way off what you would consider racing speeds, but regardless, it’s a cool first look at what Mercedes will be hoping is the car that will return Hamilton to the top of the podium in 2023.
