There's no other way to start a racing weekend than with some good old fashioned practice. When you're getting ready to go racing for 24 hours that means getting some laps in both the humid heat of a grey day in Florida and the cooler night time. In this case accompanied by an inundation of water from the sky.
That's what we spent all day Thursday doing at the Daytona International Speedway. With every group for the coming weekend out on track practicing for what's to come. That meant a huge variety of racing cars on track. From more Lola T70 MkIIIBs than you've ever seen together, via Ford's iconic Mustang to the more modern fare, including a just-restored Chevlrolet Corvette C5R and Porsche 962s and 911s. What a weekend it will be.
