As you may have heard, the 78th Members’ Meeting has unfortunately been postponed. So, in what is a slightly uncertain time not just for motorsport but for almost every aspect of life, we’ve turned our eyes to the archives, reliving recent events with all the enthusiasm of the real thing.
One such example is this epic Porsche 911 battle during the Classic RS Cup at the Daytona International Speedway. The Classic RS Cup is a series for race-prepped Porsche RS 2.7-litre to 3.0-litre race cars, held at every Historic Sportscar Racing event.
In this two-and-a-half-minute long video, filmed at last November’s Daytona race weekend, we join Brady Refenning in his 901 Shop 1974 No. 28 Porsche 911 IROC as he chases down two other three-litre 911's during the race. Watch and, perhaps more importantly, listen as the engine screams as he races up through the gears as he approaches the pair on Daytona’s banked curves.
Refenning took third place in the HSR Classic RS Cup, and here we can watch a snippet of his incredible night time driving…
