Video: Amazing onboard of ’65 Ford Mustang at Paul Ricard

The Ford Mustang is a car we know how to enjoy. Just take a look at the action from this year’s Ken Miles Cup presented by LGT Wealth Management – a race dedicated only to the classic Mustang at the 81^st Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport.

The sight and sound of those 30 Ford Mustangs as they roared away from the start line was truly spectacular, but everything is a little bit better when it’s bathed in the sunshine of the south of France. That’s where this video will take you, behind the wheel of a 1965 Ford Mustang V8 Notchback as it wizzes around the Circuit Paul Ricard.

Footage comes from the midst of Les 2 Tours d’Horloge (or ‘twice round the clock’) – the only non-stop 24-hour race for historic cars. Apparently, these laps are from the closing stages of the race, and you can see the pressure the Mustang had endured; the shaky steering and the effort the driver is putting in to keep it all under control. Luckily for us, we can appreciate the rumble of the V8 engine, high-speed overtakes, and the glorious blue skies of the Riviera without the accompanying physical strains.
