This could quite possibly be the most beautiful seven-car battle there has ever been. As an Aston Martin DB4 GT leads a Ferrari 250 SWB, another DB4, a Jaguar E-type, two more 250s and another E-type. And this is no precession, this is genuine racing between some of the most iconic ‘60s sportscars ever made. In fact it was quite difficult to list down which cars are involved, because the order seems to change every time we get a new camera angle.
It's just a quite ridiculous sight when you think about what’s on show. However many millions of pounds worth of car being expertly showcased around the Goodwood Motor Circuit, with overtakes into St. Mary’s, and a quite incredible move around the outside of Woodcote. Let’s just add that the weather is appalling which only adds to the drama, as if that were possible, as each of these glorious cars skitters across the circuit in a constant search for grip.
This group of cars, engaging in such a breathless battle, with lights on, kicking spray out behind them is one of the best things we’ve ever seen at Goodwood. We cannot wait for more action like this at the 2022 Revival.
