This is what we love to see at Goodwood, three pristine Lotus Elan 26Rs going at it hell for leather lap after lap. Here we’re riding on board with Alex Montgomery at the back of this Elan train as he attempts to make progress from a back row start during the Graham Hill Trophy at the 79th Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport. The action is relentless and at times a little dicey with the odd wheel being put on the grass.
It doesn’t take long for these guys to start running side by side through Lavant Corner, and then all the way down Lavant Straight. Their bravery and skill are on another level, and we’re very grateful for the show they put on. It’s good clean racing and it’s a joy to watch.
Aside from enjoying those early battles, this video is a great chance to sit back and simply enjoy the experience of racing at Goodwood, sharing the Motor Circuit with some of the most legendary racing cars ever made, the likes of the Ferrari 250LM, a plethora of AC Cobras and Jaguar E-Types, and so much more.
