Video: Bobby Rahal hunts down Corvette in glorious 911 RSR
A car as special as a 911 RSR deserves to have someone pretty competent behind the wheel. The sound of that screaming flat-six is enough to leave you weak at the knees so they need to be used to beautiful racing machines without being overawed. So we guess someone like three-time Champ Car champion Bobby Rahal will probably do.
And we think this video shows that we're correct, Rahal is masterful behind the wheel of the RSR, first dispatching a gorgeous BMW 3.0 CSL before hunting down a mighty Corvette over the course of the next lap. The whole thing is soundtracked by that wonderful, rear-mounted engine.
As you may have already heard Goodwood Road and Racing are packing up and heading stateside to cover the first ever Classic 12 Hours of Sebring, thanks to our friends over at Historic Sportscar Racing. The 12 Hours is the companion event to the hugely successful Classic Daytona 24, which attended last year, so we're pretty excited about this trip.
