Near the top of the coolness ranks of circuits that motorsport left behind is Circuit de Charade. It really doesn’t get much cooler than this ducking, diving, sweeping and undulating loop of bitumen. Built around the base of an extinct Volcano, the circuit (in its original form) was considered the ultimate test for Grand Prix, Sportscar and Motorcycle Grand Prix Jockeys between the late ‘50s and early ‘70s. In this stunning early colour footage, we see sports GTs grappling with Charade, carrying incredible speeds at all angles.
