Name a more glorious sight than a classic Porsche tearing up a sunlit hillclimb… How about two? For today’s Elevenses, we’re transporting you to the 2020 Bologna-Raticosa historic hillclimb, where YouTuber 19Bozzy92 managed to capture a pair of bespoke hillclimb Porsches as they flew up the challenging climb.
The pair were built by Balletti Motorsport from two Porsche 911 SC chassis and finished with 934/5 and 935 body kits and the Interscope liveries of two famous historic Porsches, the 1976 934/5 and the 1978 Porsche 935/77A. However, while the originals were turbocharged, the two here retain their naturally aspirated 3.5-litre flat-six engines as they competed under the event’s Silhouette +2000 class.
Watch as drivers Sergio Galletti (934/5) and Andrea Baroni (935/77) push the pair up the historic course, which is the longest-running uphill automobile race in the world. Measuring either 32.72km (the short route) or 43.20km (the long route), it is also known as one of the most challenging hillclimbs in Europe.
