Video: Enjoy some 1960s GT cars sliding round Silverstone for an hour

Around about now, we should be preparing to launch ourselves headfirst into the classic racing season, with the Monaco Historique, Le Mans Classic and not to forget our very own Goodwood Revival to look forward to.

While the 2020 Revival is very much still going ahead as planned, coronavirus virus has very much effected the first few months of the motorsport season, forcing the cancellation of any event until at mid-summer. That means the Monaco Historique, as well as the modern Monaco GP, has been cancelled, and Le Mans Classic has been postponed until July 2021.

We’ve been thinking of ways to pass the time in lockdown, and one resounding suggestion has been to rewatch full races – where available – online. We made it easy for you, by streaming our favourite races from previous Members’ Meetings, and now we’ve gone in search of other full classic contests.
That search led us to this, the International Trophy for Classic GT Cars (Pre '66) at the 2019 Silverstone Classic.

With a huge, 61-car grid full of Jaguar E-types, Lotus Elans, AC Cobras, MGBs, TVRs and countless others, the race saw heated battles throughout the ranks.

We’re not going to ruin the results for you (you can read them here), but suffice to say this will be an hour of your lockdown life well spent.
