How would you choose to relax if you were just days away from a huge project coming to fruition? Well, if you are stunt driver Mark Higgins and it’s a few days before No Time To Die finally premieres you head to Castle Combe and show off the skills that made you 008.
The occasion is Rallyday at Castle Combe, which does exactly what it says on the tin, celebrating all generations, shapes and sizes of forest flyers, tarmac tearaways and gravel greats. This video is an in-car of Higgins putting all his precision driving skills to the test in a Ford Focus WRC owned by Steve Rimmer and run by BGMsport. This shouldn’t actually be too much of a challenge for Higgins; before he was lured away by the lights of Hollywood he won the British Rally Championship three times, in 1997, 2005 and 2006.
Higgins puts the handbrake to good use as he navigates the twisty Legends Rally Stage with perfect precision. The video is worth a watch for the car control alone.
