Dijon-Prenois is a wonderfully fast, flowing circuit, and no car is better suited to its undulating curves than a raucous Lola T70.
Don’t believe us? Well check out this awesome on board courtesy of Peter Auto from the Grand Prix de l'Age d'Or 2019, in which a 1969 Lola T70 Mk III B, driven by Carlos Tavares, flies past the competition as if most of it wasn’t there.
Sadly Tavares and the T70, competing in the Classic Endurance Racing 2 class, didn’t go on to win the race, eventually finishing in seventh position out of 35. But still, what an opening lap performance! And, of course, what a noise. Modern sports prototypes just don’t have quite the same charm as a big, shouty, 1960s V8.
