Oh, don’t you long for the days when sportscars were block’o’cheese-like wedges that hugged the ground with their underbellies instead of flailing winglets: A time when the pre-race montages were scored with excessive guitar shredding over aggressive camera angle changes and extreme driver close-ups.
That time was the ‘90s and thankfully, we’ve got a solid hour-and-a-half fix right here. IMSA GTP at Road America on July 11th, 1993, with late Porsche 962Cs sharing grid space with Nissan 300ZXs, Chevrolet GTPs, Oldsmobile Cutlasses, Ford Mustangs and many more might be one of the most ‘90s snapshots of historic motorsport we’ve ever seen. Just drink in the grainy film and, erm, interesting effects. The cars are fairly incredible, too…
