We know this car, don’t we. If you follow our social media channels closely enough, you’ll know it too. You’ll know it’s heavily turbocharged, entirely unhinged and that it broadly resembles a Toyota Tacoma. It is of course the 1998 and 1999 Pikes Peak-winning hillclimb special of Rod Millen, and in this video, we see it return to the mountain.
Of course, for the years of Millen’s winning runs, Pikes Peak was still a gravel route. These days it’s a paved road, which very much changes the dynamic of this incredible car’s return. In this video we see the churping, screaming monster Tacoma deploy its 1,000PS in full on the Mountain once again from multiple spectator perspectives.
We also get a close up look around the car, a run with onboard views and even a properly hairy, almost-accident moment, caught and gathered up very nicely indeed. What an utterly mad machine.
Welcome to Goodwood Elevenses, a helping of motoring-related amusement to help break up your day. Watch the last video: This 530PS twin‑turbo V6 Lupo is pure insanity
