Video: How to drive fast at Sebring – by Jochen Mass

When we said we needed someone to show us round Sebring after arriving at the Sebring Classic 12 Hour in late November, we sort of expected a quick tour from someone in race control. Instead, the GRR team found itself in a Porsche 911 GTS with none-other than Goodwood house captain, Grand Prix winner, Le Mans champion and all-round legend Jochen Mass.

Jochen was in Florida to race a stunning Ferrari Daytona, prepared by Heritage Motorsports, and return to the site of his 1987 victory in one of the toughest races in the world – the Sebring 12 Hours. So who better to tell us exactly what this racetrack really means?

Jochen first raced at Sebring in the 1970s, and has seen the hallowed tarmac (and concrete) change from the original, daunting 5.1-mile course to the current shorter – but no less tricky – circuit, so knows every inch of it. Watch, in the video above, as he guides you round one of our favourite places in the world.
