It’s not hard to believe that we’re huge Mini fans here and Goodwood. We have some of the best classic Mini racing in the world and we never get tired of seeing them battle. One event that a classic Mini 1275cc isn’t best suited for is a hill climb. You need some hefty power behind you to accelerate up hillclimb inclines and the Mini is not well equipped in that department. However, what you do get when you throw a Mini up a hillclimb, is an angry and plucky hornet’s nest of a car that can devour the tight chicanes with the smallest of flicks in order to keep momentum.
One thing that is guaranteed is that the Mini driver is having more fun than the other competitors. The close pedals and tight steering give you a driving experience like no other as you wring its neck and try to make up time against the more powerful rivals.
