Last week we shared a video of an E36 M3 rallying around roads in Germany and explained how rallying is basically just a chance to have the best roads around free for use with no other traffic or rules.
Well that isn’t just a concept confined to Germany and modern classic cars. There are road rallies for all kinds of cars around the world, from the UK to Australia.
In the latter, the Targa Tasmania and Adelaide classic have both established themselves as excellent road rallies, taking in some of the southern hemisphere’s best roads with all manner of cars – from modern to classic.
In this case we’re onboard an Austin Healey 3000 as its inline-six-cylinder sings its way around the confines of Australia’s great roads. A delightful compilation of the best moments over a decade, this is just a nice showcase of just how much fun you can have on closed roads.
The UK now has regulations that allow for more road racing to be organised, so fingers crossed there should be more of this available to those of us on this side of the globe.
