The BMW 635 CSI is darned cool. An old school big coupe with a proper 3.5-litre BMW straight-six in the engine bay. It looks achingly awesome and sounds brilliant. When we drove on to Spa a few years back we were pretty blown away.
So if that describes the road going car, what must a racing version be like? When we were at Peter Auto's Monza Historic in September last year we found a proper Schnitzer 635 CSI racing round that hallowed park in Milan.
Fortuitously for us it was being pedalled by none-other than Goodwood racer extraordinaire Sam Hancock, and thankfully Sam was more than happy to talk us around this amazing machine. From its tricky dogleg gearbox to the wonderful noise it makes at full chat.
