With a name like “Quattrolegende” it’s not exactly hard to work out that this event in Austria is all about Audis that send power to every wheel.
A road rally that snakes its way through the Alps, Quattrolegende does not discriminate on its entry list, as long as it’s a quattro (small q) Audi, you’re in.
That means there is an incredible mix of machinery, especially for an event dedicated to just a single manufacturer. This video is a great explanation of that variety, from ultra-tuned Audi A3s to a genuine, bona fide, Group B S1 Quattro (big Q), it has it all.
Of course another thing many of these cars share, as well as four rings and a quattro badge, is the satisfying sound of five cylinders in-line. The unmistakable howl of which can be heard over and over again in the 10 minute clip, bouncing off the mountains in northern Austria.
We’ve never been to Quattrolegende, but one watch of this clip and we’re reaching for the keys to an RS3 and plotting a route across central Europe. Take us there, please, Audi.
