A sun-soaked European hillclimb is about as far from our reality as possible right now. But we can dream, and this incredible Audi A4 touring car video is certainly facilitating our imagination.
The protagonist is Mario Jurisic’s Audi A4 STW, an ex-Works chassis and one of the last Audi A4 Touring Cars still competing in Europe. Producing almost 300PS from its 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated engine, and weighing just 980kg, watch the 1998 model sprint up the Gorjanci Hillclimb (the first 50 seconds of the video), followed by an onboard at Buzetski Dani.
Originally built by Audi Sport in FWD Touring configuration for Christian Abt, the potent car was converted into a four-wheel-drive Quattro machine the following year, and then helmed by Mattias Ekstrom that season.
