Sparks fly as this glorious, be-winged Lola FA 99 gracefully sweeps up the Abreschviller hillclimb. Weighing a paltry 660kg and kicking out 490PS (360kW) this Lola is no slouch.
Pilot Eric Berguerand does his best to keep the sonorous sound of that 3.0-litre Cosworth V8 ringing at full pelt through the snaking forest bends, smoothly dealing with the technical blind turns. This blistering run placed Berguegrand third overall on the all-too-short French course. Though, this result comes as little surprise: Berguegrand is a bit of a hillclimb legend. In 2019 he dominated the Swiss Mountain Championship winning six of the seven events he entered – five of those victories including new record times! The 40-year-old scored 180 of the 189 possible points that year, a feat no driver had achieved since new rule changes in 2015.
Don’t miss a chance to see one of the best, doing what they do.
