With the Goodwood Festival of Speed postponed, we’re not looking forward to a long summer sans motorsport. So we’ve delved back into the online archives, in an attempt to find the finest classic hill climb. And while there are admittedly plenty of contenders, this gem of a GTAm is enough to put a smile on anyone’s face this Monday morning.
Shared by Alfa Romeo itself, the clip shows a splendid 1750 GTAm at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. FCA Heritage Collection Manager Stefano Agazzi talks us through the story of the gorgeous wide-bodied model, which in his words is the “perfect mix between the design of a production car, like the Giulia Coupe, and the rudeness of a touring car champion, like the GTAm” – a car that “represents the real spirit of Alfa Romeo”.
Watch from various different camera angles as it flies up 1.16-mile hillclimb, gleaming in the summer sun.
