2025 Formula 2 and Formula 3 calendars

12th June 2024

Formula 2 and Formula 3 will once again be supporting the Formula 1 season in 2025. Both series have announced relatively unchanged calendars for next year, which will see the drivers race all over the world as they climb the motorsport ladder.

Once again, Formula 2 will be a supporting series for the Formula 1 championship. Spanning 13 countries across three continents, the 28 scheduled races comprise a mix of old-school circuits and modern tracks which will provide drivers with plenty of challenges throughout the year.

The calendar remains relatively unchanged from the 2024 campaign, with 14 rounds of racing. However, Australia is the new season opener on 14th-16th March, swapping places with Bahrain, which will now host round two on 11th-13th April, followed by Saudi Arabia at the end of the month.

As summer arrives, the season moves to Europe for a triple-header. First, to Imola on 16th-18th May, then to Monaco, and finally to Spain on 30th May-1st June before a short break in the schedule.

The ninth season of Formula 2 then resumes for the first of three double-headers, first in Austria at the end of June and Great Britain at the start of July, and then to Belgium and Hungary – which have swapped positions for 2025 as July turns to August. The official summer break follows ahead of a final European race at Monza.

The season concludes in Asia with round 12 in Azerbaijan on 19th-21st September. A final double-header is scheduled for Qatar at the end of November, and finally to Abu Dhabi where a new champion will be crowned between 5th-7th December.

The 2025 Formula 3 calendar is also relatively unchanged compared to the 2024 season, featuring 20 races over ten rounds. Following much the same schedule as the 2025 Formula 2 calendar, the seventh season of Formula 3 also has Australia as its opening stop on 14th-16th March, swapping with Bahrain which will host round two on 11th-13th April.

F3 will skip Saudi Arabia and head straight into a triple-header, starting in Imola on 16th-18th May, then to Monaco, and finally Spain on 30th May-1st June. There’s then a short break before a double-header of Austria at the end of June and Great Britain on 4th-6th July.

Unlike the F2 calendar, F3 will not be racing in Azerbaijan, Qatar, or Abu Dhabi at the end of the year, so the final three races of the season take place in Europe. Rounds eight and nine are another double-header, starting in Belgium on the 25th-27th July before Hungary hosts the penultimate race on the 1st-3rd August.

The final race of the 2025 Formula 3 season takes place in Monza, where the champion will be crowned the weekend of the 5th-7th September.
