Nina Gademan will follow in the footsteps of 2024 F1 Academy champion-elect Abbi Pulling as the Alpine driver representative for the all-female series in 2025.
Gademan, who first appeared as a wildcard for round four of the 2024 season in Zandvoort, made history as the first wildcard driver to score points as she put together an accomplished weekend alongside her more experienced competitors.
She finished fifth in race one before being promoted to fourth, and then battled to a fourth-place finish in race two, only for a time penalty to demote her to tenth. Still, a haul of 13 points was a decent return, and her exploits have now been recognised.
The 21-year-old Dutch driver competed in British Formula 4 this season, alongside Pulling and fellow F1 Academy wildcard graduate Ella Lloyd, where she scored a rookie podium at Thruxton.
“I am incredibly proud to be representing BWT Alpine Formula One Team in the 2025 F1 Academy season," she said.
“This is a moment I once thought might never come, and it is a dream come true. Having the support of a team with such an incredible legacy means the world to me. I am deeply grateful for Alpine’s trust and belief in me, and I can’t wait to make the 2025 season an unforgettable chapter in this journey.”
