The double-header Formula E round in Saudi Arabia in February will switch from its traditional home in Diriyah to the Jeddah Corniche street circuit used by Formula 1.

The switch is still subject to approval by the World Motor Sports Council later in the year, but has been signed off by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Sport.

It is expected that the all-electric championship will race on a shortened version of the track used by Formula 1, but more details have yet to be announced.

A Formula E spokesperson said: "The Jeddah E-Prix will offer an exhilarating race experience on a modified layout of the fast and flowing Corniche street circuit, contributing to the growth of motorsport in the region.

"With its breathtaking Red Sea backdrop, the 2025 Jeddah E-Prix promises an unforgettable experience for fans and competitors alike."
