Former F1 Academy race winner Jess Edgar will return to the grid in 2024 with Rodin Motorsport, completing the team’s three-driver line-up alongside Abbi Pulling and Lola Lovinfosse.
Edgar raced in the inaugural season of F1 Academy, and took her first victory at the final round at the Circuit of the Americas, eventually finishing up eighth in the drivers’ championship with four podiums.
The 18-year-old started her career in 2022 racing in the GB4 Championship before making the jump to the all-female series in 2023, she has so far shown a steady rise in form, and expectations will be high that she’ll hit the ground running in ’24.
“I am really excited to be working with Rodin Motorsport once again this year,” she said. “We had a good 2023, constantly improving each time we went out in the car, and I hope we can do the same.
“I would like to say a big thank you to Rodin Motorsport for the opportunity to return to the F1 Academy grid and keep building on what I learned last year.”
Rodin Motorsport Team Manager Benn Huntingford said: “Jess showed brilliant potential in F1 Academy with us last year, and we are really excited to work with her again this season.
“We ended the 2023 season on a high in Austin, so it will be really exciting to see how Jess develops further with us this season.”
