Nerea Marti will return to F1 Academy in 2024 with Campos, filling the final slot on the grid to complete the 15-driver line-up. She’ll represent new F1 Academy partner Tommy Hilfiger with a distinct livery on her car.
The 22-year-old Spanish driver ended her first year in the all-female championship fourth in the driver’s standings. She scored points consistently throughout the season, with podiums in Valencia, Zandvoort and Monza before taking her maiden single seater victory at Paul Ricard.
She rounded off the season with a second place in Texas, and returns with Campos as the second highest finishing driver from the previous season behind Hamda Al Qubaisi.
Marti’s career began in Spanish F1 in 2019, where she scored one podium. Two seasons in W Series followed in 2021 and ’22 with more podiums and a pole position before she made the move to F1 Academy.
Alongside her single-seater exploits she found success in GT racing in the GT Winter Series where she took five wins on the way to second in the championship.
“I am excited by Tommy Hilfiger’s approach for this season and it's amazing to wear their colours as we push the limits in every race.” Marti said.
“By backing F1 Academy he is standing behind female drivers and helping us break boundaries. Beyond the track, I’m looking forward to activities and events that will help me grow both professionally and personally”.
The 2024 F1 Academy season gets underway with two rounds in Saudi Arabia on 8th and 9th March.
