Toyota Gazoo Racing has unveiled a fresh new livery for cars that will compete in the World Rally Championship and World Endurance Championship in 2024.

The new colour scheme incorporates an all-matt black design with the white and red GR logo emblazoned on the rear quarter. In the case of the GR010 Hybrid Hypercar that will race in the WEC and at Le Mans in 2024, it is topped off with a metallic silver roof.

Toyota has raced in various forms of its white, red and black livery since the introduction of the TS050 Hybrid LMP1 in 2016, and in seven seasons the team won five manufacturers’ titles in the WEC and four in the WRC, alongside five consecutive drivers’ titles in both the WEC and WRC from 2019-2023.

In the wake of renewed competition in the Hypercar class, Toyota is sending a message to its new competitors, the likes of Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini. It says there are two concepts behind the new livery: “Speed” and “Prototype”. The former is a representation of the team’s ‘hate to lose’ mentality, while the latter points to Toyota’s continued push to develop its motorsport program.

Outside of its two flagship efforts in the WEC and WRC, Toyota’s entrants in all other motorsports will also sport this new black livery.
