The video, which is just under two minutes in duration, features plenty of teasers as to what gamers can expect in the next instalment of one of the most popular multi-platform sims.
The broad range of cars we’ve come to expect is evident. Everything from a kerb-hopping 1990 Mini to a Porsche 911 RSR appear in the trailer, with just about everything in between.
How about a Lotus Emira and Alpine 110 jostling in the rain, or a Morgan Super 3 touring what appears to be the roads around the Nürburgring Nordschleife, leading us to speculate about the game’s free-roaming capabilities. There also appears to be traffic on the public road sections of Assetto Corsa Evo, adding to the realism the game is known for.
It’s difficult to tell from the trailer, but it appears the vehicle dynamics, always an Assetto Corsa strong suit, are improved once more. The advanced system has always been highly regarded when it comes to mechanical, electronic and aerodynamic effects. Differing weather conditions and track conditions are also expected to affect dynamics.
But the main thing we’re able to do with this preview is drink in the delicious level of aesthetic detail that abounds. Exterior and interior details are simply incredible, and you don’t need a controller or wheel in your hand to enjoy that.
