Video: Extreme Exige tackles Imola

The Lotus Exige can get fairly extreme even in flavours offered by the factory. As is often the case, however, that’s not nearly extreme enough for the tastes of some. All you need is an aero kit seemingly borrowed from Pikes Peak, a Harrop supercharger, a widebody kit, a sequential transmission and a few other bits to turn an Exige into a GTE slayer.

Just look at it! Listen to it! It’s even got air hacks for goodness sake. It’s the work of Team Santilli and is in the final development stages. Where better to give it one of its final flat-out shakedowns than Imola, with its sprawling straights and long sweepers interjected with tight chicanes and hairpins.
