The hype is officially at critical mass for Gran Turismo 7, now confirmed for release on 4th March 2022 with a spectacular three-minute trailer. By the looks of things, the Ultimate Driving Simulator will be on its best form since the fourth entry in 2004.
The opening is typically dramatic, with a starry sky and the Polyphony logo. We then glaze through shots of a variety of Porsches, including the new 917 Concept. Everything looks utterly gorgeous, as you’d expect. Stunning photography Scapes return and with more variety than ever.
The car list looks stunningly expansive, with highlights including everything from the new Toyota GR 86, to the awesome Mercedes CLK LM. The game’s Japanese heritage is plain to see, too, with a number of JDM icons and incredible race cars, including JGTC and the iconic Castrol Supra, also featuring. Polyphony reckons GT7 is as much a car collecting game as it is a racing game. That sounds promising…
Extensive modification is teased, as is, praise be, the auction house. Featured tracks in the trailer include the Nürburgring, Tsukuba and many more.

Needless to say, we’re thoroughly excited for the release of Gran Turismo 7 in March. It looks like GT will fully be back on form. If we were at the helm of the rebooted Forza Motorsport, expected for release in Autumn 2022, we’d be watching very closely…
