For all the high-speed action fans of motorsport are used to watching, there are some things on this planet that simply have to be seen to be believed. Like this most insane of water sports: Jetsprint racing.
The course is set out in what looks to be a man-made water park of sorts, with the boats themselves running in a channel that is less than one metre deep. That in itself is pretty mad, that these things are carving round in what is essentially a glorified puddle.
Then we have the boats themselves. Which are powered by big V8 engines producing in excess of 500PS (368kW). They look and sound spectacular, but riding onboard one is another experience entirely, even if it is in video form.
Like we say, you’ll just have to watch it, probably a few times, to understand just how this team of two people manage to complete what is an impossibly complicated course.
