Video: Onboard Romain Grosjean’s first IndyCar test
This is an IndyCar onboard unlike any you have seen before. Climb aboard with Romain Grosjean in his first IndyCar test and watch the Barber Motorsport Park unfold through his eyes.
Filmed ahead of his series debut at the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama on 18th April, the footage captures Grosjean’s blistering pace around the 2.38-mile circuit and its 16 turns. The occasion marked his return to racing following his fiery crash at last year’s Bahrain GP. It is also his first outing in an IndyCar, following his departure from Formula 1 and the Haas team at the end of last season.
Behind the wheel of his Dale Coyne Racing car, Grosjean joined a 12-car test and completed 83 laps. Take five today to join him for a couple of those, in this wonderfully vicarious footage, filmed from behind his visor.
