How is the driver of this tiny nitro RC car keeping it under control? Seriously, how on earth is he doing that? It’s an absolute mystery to us.
Behind the wheel of a car on track you can feel how much grip there is and make adjustments to the steering and throttle accordingly. With a remote controlled car you can’t do that – well, unless you’re Yuki Tsunoda – so it’s utterly baffling how the car doesn’t immediately storm off the track. Admittedly the pilot is a rather skilled one, a man named Ryan Lutz, who’s raced RC cars since 2006, but still. It’s wild.
On a course with jumps of varying sizes and corners running from small kinks to hairpins, Ryan makes controlling one of these bonkers machines look easy. It even looks like he’s managing weight transfer with tiny steering corrections. We can only ask again: how on earth is he doing that?
