F1 world champion turned YouTuber turned Extreme E team owner Nico Rosberg has got his first taste of the all-electric off-road weapon his Rosberg Xtreme Racing team will be campaigning in the break-out series.
Quite unlike the first test of an F1 car, Nico and team’s first taste of the car isn’t a Jerez, Silverstone or Monza. It’s at a quarry just outside Frankfurt. After unloading the car, Nico meets one of his chosen rally ace drivers, Australian Rally Champion Molly Taylor, before she climbs aboard the car for her first test – cut to a few shots of Molly tearing up the clay.
Then Nico meets his second driver, Johan Kristoffersson, three-time World Rallycross Champion. It’s safe to say the car will be in capable hands… Next, a tour of the car, then a tour of team Rosberg HQ, including a brief look at Nico’s first single-seater racer, a Formula BMW from 2002. What a fun look behind the curtain at Rosberg Xtreme Racing and Extreme E, as well as the history of Team Rosberg.
